22 October 2007

Since last month what have RED ALERT been up to? Where do we start?

KRAIG PARKER.....came over from Texas, USA to the UK to tour with RED ALERT. They travelled in a tour bus to Halifax, Epsom then Stoke-on-Trent. Three theatres steamrollered over with the spectacular Rock n' Roll and Elvis tribute. Check out WWW.THEKINGLIVES.COM for more information on Kraig and see the new photo on the OTHER PICS page. Pictured below from left to right, Charles Stone (Elvis' tour producer in the 1970's and currently Kraig Parker's Manager), Kevin Davidge, The Guv'nor, Lee Davidge and Kraig Parker.

ELVIES Festival 2007.....Porthcawl was taken over by Elvis Tribute Artists for an entire weekend! On the Saturday of the Festival, RED ALERT was the house band for several ETA's at the Grand Pavillion Theatre. On the Sunday, the band first played with Kraig Parker at the Hi-Tide, then went over to the Grand Pavillion to do their own show, then some songs with the young Elvis sensation Jelvis, then another show with Kraig Parker. After that, it was back over to the Hi-Tide to finish the Festival with the spectacular Gordon Hendricks. FOUR GIGS IN ONE DAY - this must be a record for the band!! RED ALERT would like to thank all the fans for the tremendous support and kind words given. Check out WWW.ELVIES.CO.UK for details of the biggest Elvis Festival in Europe.

HOMECOMING GIG....The week after the festival, the boys returned to their home community, Blaenau Gwent, South Wales to do a fundraiser for a local hospice at the Beaufort Theatre, Ebbw Vale. RED ALERT raised the roof in the first half then, brought on their special guest Elvis Tribute Artist Joseph King and backed him for the second half. The gig raised approximately £500 for the Hospice of the Valleys and again, the response from the crowd was nothing short of phenominal. Check out WWW.JOSEPHKINGTRIBUTES.COM. Also, check out a photo of the band at this gig with their new dancers "The Rock n' Roll girls" on the LIVE PICS.

ANOTHER GORDON HENDRICKS GIG - The band thoroughly enjoyed doing a gig at Huntington Hall in Worcester and backing Gordon Hendricks for his incredible Elvis tribute. Check out WWW.GORDON-HENDRICKS.COM for his tour dates etc.

This amazing period for the band has seen RED ALERT's fan club/mailing list grow faster than any other period of the band's existance. There has also been a surge of media coverage, some of which you will see on the ARTICLES page. We would like to welcome all the new members and fulfil our promise that the best from RED ALERT is yet to come!

31 August 2007

The lack of news updates is due to RED ALERT being touring heavier than ever! Mainly with Stars in Their Eyes winning Elvis Tribute Artist GORDON HENDRICKS the band has been playing VERY successful gigs at Lowestoft, Isle of Wight, Stoke-on-Trent, York, Highley, Melksham, Brean etc. etc.

The band also played with Elvis Tribute Artist Joseph King (who has a theatre show in Ireland lined up) at Bexhill Carnival in Hastings.

The band have also found time to spend in the studio working more on the forthcoming album, in various Radio stations promoting the gigs and the album and discussing the up and coming 20th anniversary year for the band!

HISTORY was made recently where the original line up of the band ALMOST played together for the first time in approximately 15 years! Lee was the only absent member. Kevin, Ozzy along with former members Jason and Jaime performed Rockin' all Over the World and Marie Marie at a wedding to a stunned and emotional crowd of wedding guests!

KRAIG PARKER TOUR DATES CONFIRMED

RED ALERT will be performing and backing Elvis Tribute Artist KRAIG PARKER from Dallas, Texas. Kraig is Managed by Charles Stone (Elvis' tour producer in the 70's) and will be flying over to the UK for this tour. Check out the TOUR DATES section for the details of the theatres and dates lined up!

The band have found themselves in the papers again! Snippets will appear on the ARTICLES section of the website soon so keep checking.

Phew!! So much going on. Can we keep up??? YES!! of course we can!

The next bulletin will feature news about a 20th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL gig (yes it's almost 20 years since the birth of RED ALERT), the release date and title of the album and the tour date details for next year (venues such as Swansea Grand Theatre are next to be STEAMROLLERED OVER!!)
